Fireside Chat – Creating a Circular Economy in the ICT Sector
Time: 14 November, 08:15–08:45
Venue: Standard Pavilion
Introduction
This 30-minute fireside chat brought together experts to discuss how circularity principles can transform the ICT sector, reducing waste, extending product lifecycles, and improving resource efficiency. The conversation explored how circular design, sustainable materials, repairability, and reuse could minimize environmental impacts while creating new economic and innovation opportunities.
The dialogue also highlighted the role of Digital Product Passports (DPPs) and traceability systems as key enablers of circularity—helping track materials, components, and carbon footprints across the value chain. Collaboration with international partners and other stakeholders were showcased as essential for scaling global action and ensuring policy coherence.
